Grief & The Holidays

Coping with Grief During the Holidays - Hosted by Kaunoa Senior Center

The holidays can be an especially difficult time for those of us living with loss & grief.

Losing loved ones is one of the most difficult experiences we go through in life. Losses of a spouse, a child, extended family members, dear friends or beloved pets -even the loss of a home or a job - can feel overwhelming.

Please join us to share stories and feelings around your losses, grief and fears and to explore ways to cope and even enjoy this time.

This event will be led by Hospice Maui HEAL (Helping Ease A Loss) support group facilitators.

Refreshments will be provided.

Annual Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony

SAVE THE DATE

Hospice Maui’s annual Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony is a heartfelt tradition honoring the lives of patients we’ve cared for over the past year. This invitational special event provides families a meaningful space to come together, reflect, and remember their loved ones in a comforting and supportive environment.

As part of the ceremony, families are invited to decorate butterflies with the names of their loved ones. These beautifully personalized butterflies are placed on a holiday tree, where they remain throughout the season as a touching tribute. We look forward to celebrating and honoring the patients who have been in our care over the past year.
