Behind the Mission: Sherri Reeve

A smiling woman with glasses and short blonde hair, wearing a light purple shirt, standing indoors near windows with green trees outside.

My journey with Hospice Maui began in 2013 when my father, Robert Reeve, was cared for with such compassion and dignity. That experience stayed with me, and I joined the Board the following year, hoping to give back to the place that gave our family so much peace.

In May of this year, Hospice Maui was there for us again—this time for my mother, Clara Belle. Her passing was sudden, but thanks to the swift and thoughtful care of Hospice Maui, we were able to be with her in the most peaceful setting imaginable. Within hours of arriving at Hospice Maui Hale, she left this world surrounded by love, light, and the people who cherished her most.

My mother was extraordinary—strong, graceful, full of wisdom and warmth. That her final moments reflected the beauty of her life is a gift I will never forget.

Serving on the board isn’t just an honor—it’s deeply personal. I’ve seen, from both sides, the heart of this organization. And I’m committed to helping ensure that others receive the same care, compassion, and dignity when it matters most.
