Community Outreach

Hospice Maui participates in a variety of ways and events each year on issues concerning our aging population, pain relief, and hospice services.

Staff members speak at various local businesses and organizations. We attend community events and health fairs. We serve on boards and committees related to aging and palliative and hospice care. We attend seminars and workshops to en-
hance our knowledge and skills. We provide one-on-one counseling. We host
support groups for those affected by suicide.

Committed efforts to staff and public education help us help persons coping with terminal illnesses plan better, and come to us sooner, for quality end-of-life care.
